Near grid Solutions, based in Zele - BE, is a leading scale-up specializing in the development of innovative battery systems and other solutions to accelerate the energy transition in the construction industry. With our advanced technologies, we aim to provide sustainable and efficient electricity supply to our customers on the construction site.

To further support our growth, we are looking for a driven Business developer.

 

Your role

As a Business Developer at Near grid Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic team operating in an international context. You will have the opportunity to participate in trade shows and events both at home and abroad. This opportunity not only gives you the chance to represent our company on global stages, but also to make valuable contacts and expand your network.

You will be responsible for actively prospecting and executing the sales process to introduce our innovative energy solutions to equipment lessors and distributors in the construction industry. With a strong focus on meeting sales targets, you will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and promoting the adoption of renewable energy solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting and Relationship Building:
    • Actively identify new business opportunities and potential customers in the construction industry.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
  2.  
  3. Sales Activities:
    • Perform hard selling activities to present our battery systems and energy solutions to prospects.
    • Convince customers of the benefits of our products and services.
  4.  
  5. Customer Consulting and Solution Selling:
    • Advise customers on appropriate energy solutions based on their needs.
    • Responsible for closing deals and achieving sales goals.
  6.  
  7. Market Research:
    • Keep abreast of market trends and conduct competitive analysis.
    • Report market information to management team.

Your profile

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a sales role in a technical or B2B sector.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and interest in renewable energy solutions
  • Excellent prospecting and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive and independent work attitude.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a great asset.
