We are the market leader in Belgium with our Neargrid Force. 

The Neargrid Force and Neargrid Boost are mobile yard batteries used to connect construction sites to the electrical grid. They ensure the electric yard power supply of electrical equipment when direct connection to the grid is not possible. It is an integrated power system, plug and play, equipped with monitoring and surveillance.

 

Commissioning and service engineer

 As a Commissioning & Service Engineer at Near grid Solutions, you will be responsible for the final completion, delivery and testing of our innovative battery solutions. You will ensure that each system meets our high quality standards and operates smoothly at the customer's site.

During commissioning, you will perform thorough testing and checks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You work closely with the engineering team to implement any improvements and optimizations. You also provide technical support and solve operational problems quickly and efficiently.

With your eye for detail and commitment to quality, you will play a key role in the growth and professionalization of our scale-up.

 

Responsibilities

 The Commissioning & Service Engineer is responsible for:

  • Acceptance of components and subsystems from suppliers, including quality checks and verification that they meet technical specifications.
  • Finishing the battery system in our workshop, ensuring accurate assembly and smooth integration of all components.
  • Perform delivery testing to ensure system performance and reliability before it goes to the customer.
  • Supervise inspections, including communication with inspection authorities and documentation of test results.
  • In-field servicing of our battery systems, such as performing upgrades, preventive maintenance and inspections to optimize service life and reliability.
  • Repair defects by thoroughly diagnosing, troubleshooting efficiently and replacing parts as needed.
  • Support customers by answering technical questions and showing them how to use our systems.

 

‍YourProfile

  • Mechanical or electromechanical training bachelor or equivalent by experience
  • Strong affinity for mechanical design
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Proactive and committed
  • Sense of detail
  • Wants to actively participate in the energy transition
  • Can read and understand English technical literature
  • Bilingual French/Dutch is an asset
